Our Team
Dr. Liron Rozenkrantz
Principal Investigator
Liron holds a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the Weizmann Institute of Science and completed her post-doctoral training at the MIT Brain and Cognitive Sciences department and at the Harvard Program in Placebo Studies.
She is fascinated with the idea that our beliefs and expectations can drive a real biological impact!
Nofar Mizrachi
Ph.D. Student
Nofar is a Ph.D. student in our lab. She holds an M.A. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Haifa.

Nofar is exploring the link between the mind, brain and body, specifically the immune system. She explores how people's perception of their immune system may influence daily well-being, develops ways to assess such perception, and investigates how it may relate to objective immune function.

Dr. Nur Abu-Ahmad
Lab Manager
Nur is our lab manager. She completed her Ph.D. in biochemistry at the Hebrew University, where she studied brain-liver crosstalk.
Nur is interested in the biological and biochemical mechanisms underlying the mutual communication between the brain and peripheral organs. In the lab, she is looking into the mind-brain-metabolic system interplay.
Chen Levine
M.D.-Ph.D. Student
Chen is an MD-PhD student in a joint mentorship with Dr. Rotem Kahalon from our faculty. She holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Tel-Hai College.
Chen's research interests lie in the broader contexts of medical care, emphasizing its psychological and cognitive components and their contribution to overall health, with a particular focus on women’s health.
Tal is a joint Ph.D. student with Dr. Sivan Spitzer in our faculty. She is an expert rehabilitation psychologist after completing her M.A. at Ariel University.

Tal is exploring people's beliefs and conceptions about diabetes, and will lead an attempt to increase medical compliance in pre-diabetic patients by altering their misconceptions of the disease.

Ph.D. Student
Salam is a Ph.D. student in our lab. She is an occupational therapist (B.A. from Tel-Aviv University) and holds a Master's degree in Learning Disabilities with a major in Brain and Learning from the University of Haifa.

Salam is interested in exploring how our cognitive abilities are influenced by our beliefs and expectations, as well as the connection between the content of our beliefs and their impact on body physiology.

Hila Dagan
M.Sc. Student
Hila is a Master's student in our lab. She holds a B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Braude Academic College.
Hila is interested in exploring the mind-body interplay, particularly how our thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions influence our health in terms of genetics, immunology, and chronic diseases.
Nofar Ben Kalifa
M.Sc. Student
Nofar is a Master's student in our lab. She holds a B.Sc. in Neuroscience and Philosophy from Bar-Ilan University.
Nofar is interested in exploring the connection between mind and body, through bridging philosophical concepts with empirical research.
Natali Mashkovich
Medical Research Student
Natali is a Medical Student in the accelerated 4-year program in the faculty. She holds a B.Sc. in Biology from the Hebrew University.

Natali is conducting her Capstone research with us, in collaboration with Dr. Rotem Kahalon in our faculty. She is studying high-risk pregnancy, and in particular whether women's self efficacy following a high-risk pregnancy diagnosis is associated with adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes.
Yaara Goldshtein
Medical Research Student
Yaara is a Medical Student in the accelerated 4-year program in the faculty. She holds a B.Sc. in Natural Sciences from the Open University.

Yaara is conducting her Capstone research with us. She is studying how health perceptions influence everyday physical health across healthy and clinical populations, using both cross-sectional and interventional study designs.
